Merciful Metal

In 2029, A Young Ace on the police force has been rising up in the station to become a detective. His dream is achieved: That is until some really bad luck befalls him.

He gets paired up with a chick that tends to act like a total bitch, she's also his roommate, and he's automatically assigned to a series of crimes thought to be done by a major crime syndicate. Essentially this results much later in him being gunned down by some goons.

Fearing for his life, said chick partner accepts a scientist's offer to save him with bio-implants and a suit of armor that is capable of working with said implants to make him "Stronger and better than Robocop." Now they have to do battle with a mysterious series of violent criminals with abilities ranging from Mega-Drugs and street-cybernetics to powerful Psychics and Mutants.

It'll be a piece of cake is what this ace thinks: He's got superhuman strength, the durability of the terminator, and a killer revolver shot. Almost nothing can stop him, especially the fact that the scientist (who now holds a high rank in the department) is progressively creating upgrades and attachments for him to use.

Let's just hope the streets aren't too dirty: He's gonna wipe the floor with some crooks!

Other details:

- The main character and his partner, maybe a little before he was shot up, could have had a 'friends with benefits' type relationship. It could make it interesting between them. It provides a reason as to why the partner took the offer, maybe because she fell in love.

- again, this is in the year 2029. Technology won't be crazy advanced for everybody. But I have a feeling some important players in the storyline may get some impressive stuff.

-Yes, above I also mentioned "Mega-Drugs" like Bane's steroid thing from Batman, or something like that. I also mentioned powerful psychics and mutants. Seriously, why NOT see a cyborg/android, who, with the special armor, has near infinite tolerance to pain (not invincibility, he can just get hurt and act like nothing happened), go up against some crazy results of science experiments?
