We are proud to be the official Tour Sponsor of the 2009 Canadian Cancer Society Cops for Cancer tour, a partnership between the Canadian Cancer Society and local police agencies to raise funds for research into paediatric cancer research, programs and camps like Camp Goodtimes.
When does the campaign start?
We?re excited to kick off our annual fundraising campaign for this important cause on Wednesday, August 19. The campaign will run until Saturday, October 3. Keep your eyes peeled for more information at a branch near you this August.
Thanks in part to the generosity of our staff and members, hundreds of BC children living with cancer had the opportunity to attend Camp Goodtimes last year. For these children, Camp Goodtimes is a special place, providing them with the opportunity to just be kids and to be around other children with cancer.
The Canadian Cancer Society Cops for Cancer tour is our largest corporate fundraiser and to date we?ve raised a whopping .5 million for this cause. In 2008, our staff raised more than 8,000 through fundraisers such as head shaves, karaoke contests, bake sales, and more.
