That means that homeowners are eligible to receive a grant of up to $5000 to purchase and install energy efficient upgrades to their homes.

Here's how it works: you'll need to 1) register with Natural Resources Canada, 2) get a pre-retrofit evaluation, 3) purchase and install eligible products, and 4) get a post-retrofit evaluation. Eligible home improvements include heating systems, cooling systems, hot water euqipment, insulation, windows/doors/skylights, and more. Your post retrofit evaluation will have to be completed by March 31, 2012.
